And then there was one.

The Cavs - or should I say LeBron - has done it again. We all remember when they turned Dion Waiters, Alex Kirk and Lou Amundson into J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert. That time it was the Knicks who stood for the charity. This time it's the Hawks.

Atlanta will receive Mo Williams, Mike Dunleavy and a protected first-round draft pick for 2019.
In return they will send away fan favorite and 3-Point specialist Kyle Korver. It might be hard to see why a team would send away one of the best shooters in this current era for two declining players in their mid 30's and a pick that will end up in the late 20's. See it like this though - Atlanta knew they were done for. They came close, but it wasn't enough. It was time for something new. In the upcoming summer, Korver will be a 36-year-old player with a talent that many teams will pay a lot of money for. Atlanta wouldn't and shouldn't compete with those teams for a player that old when they're about to go through a rebuild.

Instead of letting Korver go for nothing and giving him nothing, this is a way thank him for his service by sending him to a team where he might actually win a ring this very year, something almost every player wants a chance at near the end of their careers. The Hawks will also gain a small bit of value for a player that would have been gone in five months.

Mo Williams and Mike Dunleavy honestly doesn't mean any real value. Dunleavy was probably only included to make space on the Cavs' roster. But that pick could turn into something good if they're lucky. Remember that Paul Millsap was selected 47th overall. Jimmy Butler 30th, and Draymond Green 35th. Korver himself was selected 51st overall. There are a lot of gems to be found in the draft, even with the late picks.

As for Millsap, this essentially means that he's the last member left from the Hawks team that finished with a franchise-best 60-22 record, had every player on their starting lineup named the Player(s) of the Month during the same month, and went to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2015. Horford to Boston, Carroll to Toronto, Teague to Indiana and now Korver to Cleveland.
Even Millsap will probably be gone before the trade deadline ends. There's a lot of rumors flourishing around the league. Most of them points towards Denver and Toronto.

So what awaits for the Hawks? They will probably seek to attain young talents to build around Dennis Schröder and Dwight Howard. For the fans this probably means a few tough years. Letting this team and players like Korver can't be easy. As a Bulls fan I know the feeling, and he only stayed with Chicago for two seasons. It was still tough. Not only for the incredible player that Kyle Korver has grown to be - someone who can make a whole arena stand up knowing that a shot will go in even before it leaves his hands - but also because of the teammate and incredible person Korver seems to be.

With every team and city Korver plays for, he and his Kyle Korver Foundation has done so much for the community, even after he left those teams. His teammates aren't late to praise him, and after winning against the Pelicans the other day, Schröder sent a tweet saying that THAT GAME WAS FOR KYLE KORVER.. I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DIE FOR ME !Always LOVE.

His new teammates are very happy about their new accusation though. Since 2013, Korver is averaging 39.1 percent from three when contested and 47.9 percent when he's open. When LeBron got asked if Korver could go higher than his current 41% from three in the Cavs' system, LeBron said that he will. When asked he if would reach 49 percent on open threes, LeBron repsonded, "He'll go higher than that too. We'll get him the ball; hes on the floor for a reason." Kevin Love had some advice to Korver on playing with King James. "When you catch the ball, shoot it."

Having Kyle Korver coming off the bench will be huge and the Cavs will now have four players in the top 40 in 3-Point Field Goal percentage. Channing Frye who ranks 1st, Kyrie Irving who ranks 15th, Kyle Korver who ranks 25th and Kevin Love who ranks 35th. Love is the "worst" one, and he shoots 39.7 percent. They also have a currently injured J.R. Smith. This is scary...
